On February 11, Prof. Segal presented on “Designing an Undergraduate Engineering Curriculum with an Internationally Focused Liberal Arts Concentration and On-Site Project” at the Science and Engineering for Social Good Conference held by the National Center for Science and Civic Engagement (NCSCE). This curriculum is being developed at Hofstra by the Fred DeMatteis School of Engineering and Applied Science (Associate Dean David Rooney and Prof. Segal) and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (Associate Dean Kristin Weingartner).

The proposed program for engineering students includes a Latin American liberal arts concentration and an engineering project in a Latin American country that combines the students’ technical skills and cultural literacy. For additional information visit OverSEAS Program.
