I am an undergraduate civil engineering student in the Fred DeMatteis School of Engineering and Applied Science at Hofstra University and I am graduating in 2019. I am quite taken by structural engineering and architecture, and have always been interested in figuring out new ways to design structures that will benefit citizens and improve their lives. During the spring and summer of 2017, I worked alongside fellow students and Prof. Segal to complete the Cast & Place pavilion project. In winter 2018, I helped develop prototypes for a competition proposal for unique seating at Socrates Sculpture Park. I researched several potential fabric materials and how they formed when hanging and coated with Plaster of Paris.
