I am currently a senior engineering candidate at Hofstra University.  I am working with Prof. Segal to produce recycled rope out of polyethylene terephthalate (P.E.T.) plastic.  In order to accomplish this, I am researching what P.E.T. plastic is, where it comes from, and the processes used to recycle it.  I am excited about this project because I am learning how to create sustainable, useful products that can help with climate change.
